Recreation is king at Pine Crest Campground, and
the Susquehanna River is the central focus of much of
our recreation. You are invited to bring your boat, jet ski
or kayak to launch from our dock to explore miles of river.
Simply put, the fishing is outstanding, with frequent
catches of good-size Muskies, Bass and Pike. After a day
of “work” on the river, return to the campground for a
refreshing dip in our pool, then join in on the wide
range of activities that we have planned throughout the
season, all designed to enhance your camping experience
and the good times that you will share with the new
friends that you have made at Pine Crest.
The Susquehanna River is approximately
100 to 150 feet wide and approximately 7 to 10 feet deep
at the campground. (Your
boat should have a shallow draft.) The safe boating area
extends for 5 to 6 miles. If you have a canoe or kayak,
or can otherwise maneuver your
boat through “the narrows”, you will have another 3 to 4
miles of more secluded area to explore.
